Weeks 4, 5, 6 of Season 5 – Las Semanas 4, 5, 6 de La 5ta Temporada

We are now baking for almost 45 households this season!

This past week, we baked:

• 16 loaves of whole wheat sandwich bread
• 7 loaves of half wheat sourdough sandwich bread
• 18 loaves of pecan-raisin sourdough
• 25 pizza crusts
• 5 and a half dozen peachy-cranberry muffins
• 7 loaves of gluten-free bread

We are also moving to making the zine and most of our communications bilingual in English and Spanish.

Check out the zine from week 4, including a report-back from our Assembly on March 20th and news from El Kilombo and the Coalition for Urban Justice; the zine from week 5, including a graphic about food sovereignty, food justice, food security, and hunger; and the zine from week 6, featuring facts about honey and the second part of a piece about the companies that control tortilla production in Mexico.

¡Ahora en la panaderia, estamos haciendo pan para casi 45 hogares!

La semana pasada, hicimos:

• 16 panes 100% integral para sandwíches
• 7 panes medio’integral de levadura natural
• 18 panes artisenales con pasas y nueces
• 25 prepizzas
• 5 y un medio docena de muffins de durazno y arandano agrio
• 7 panes sin gluten

Tambien, ahora vamos a tener el zine y otros comunicacions bilingues, en Ingles y Español.

Aqui tenemos el zine de la semana 4, incluyendo noticias de la Asemblea que tendremos en el 20 de Marzo.  El zine de la semana 5 tiene un gráfico sobre la soberania alimentaria, la justicia alimentaria, le seguridad alimentaria, y no tener hambre.  El zine de la semana 6 lleva información sobre miel, y el parte segundo de un artículo sobre las empresas que controlan la producción de las tortillas en México.
